These two tweeters look identical, but are in fact different

One is a Scan Speak H2606-9200, while the other is a Peerless H26tg0606

The Scan Speak sells for $48

The Peerless sells for $32

Have a look at the slideshow below.

I purchased both tweeters for testing and comparison purposes.

It turns out, like most textile tweeters, I didn’t care for either one.

Subjectively, the Scan Speak is a bit better, but both lack ultimate dynamics.

I tend to prefer rigid dome tweeters, then their soft counterparts.

Personal preference.

Textile domes can do wonders to tame an aggressive system, with matching to the midrange always being important.

Wilson Audio tends to exclusively use textile tweeters (most of them Scan Speak), and they don’t often get bad reviews.

I trashed both of these, as I wanted to recycle the small 1"  horns to fit on my Transducer Lab tweeters.

I have good hope for the horn loaded TLab tweeters.

Feels like I killed a rhino for its horn :)

Remember, I have a French mother tongue, doing my best to express myself in the Shakespeare language.

Thanks to a friend, Bevis, most of my website has been corrected for proper English grammar, much easier read now :)

I may merge the site to another server or find a solution but in the meantime, I can't add anything but text, Sorry
