This midrange is really oriented for PRO use. It has a very low QTS and various horn projects dedicated to it.

Measurement done at ~4", with no equalization at all.

I had to try it, as contrary to my PR65Neo, it doesn't exhibit a huge cone breakup at ~4 kHz.

It also has lower distortion below 500 Hz due to its 8" vs 6.5" size.

For an 8", the 8PE21 would start beaming at ~2 kHz, limiting its use as a mid-range.

I may try to dampen or remove the dust cap on the PR65Neo to see what’s possible with this one. A phase plug will eliminate the resonance, but would limit the low frequency even more, as I'll lose SD.

 I plan to try  a horn for the 8PE21.
