I own 3 Transducer Lab tweeters

The N26CS-T.  Alumina Ceramic Dome (T is for Titanium voice coil upgrade option). Shown here on left.

Of the three Transducer Lab tweeters, this one is in first place, and is my favorite.

Measurements are a bit off from the factory specs to my own results, but overall, the unit sounds just fantastic.

Stock Frequency curve below.

My 96 kHz sampling measurement:

Once again, the manufacturer fails to show the 28.8 kHz breakup in their graph, and also stops the measurement at a very convenient 20kHz.

Slight mass roll-off starting at 8kHz can be seen, EQ can fix this easy.

Measured at 3" at 95 dB.

3 kHz to 20 kHz is optimal for this tweeter.

Disregard the harder break-up peak at ~29 kHz, as this tweeter sings.

  • Remember that all dome tweeters do have a breakup of some sort anyway, the fact that certain mfg do not show it to you doesn't mean it's not existing...

Subjective sound is very dynamic with a realistic attack.

It would match well with some smaller efficient paper cones in a three-way design.

The ultimate resolution is decent. My Beryllium version is better in that regard but it has other drawback too.

Bottom line is :

I like this tweeter very much.

Remember, I have a French mother tongue, doing my best to express myself in the Shakespeare language.

Thanks to a friend, Bevis, most of my website has been corrected for proper English grammar, much easier read now :)
